Heyyyy! I’m Kendagor but most people know me as Chebi 🙂 I am a Quantity Surveying graduand, food photographer and recipe developer.
I am in no way an expert cook, in fact until about 7 years ago I had a love-hate relationship with the kitchen, fuelled by the exhaustion of trying to figure out what my family would have for dinner, “Anything except rice, again!” they would say. My mum’s creativity in the kitchen was elemental to learning how to quickly turn leftover Sunday breakfast sausages into a delicious sausage stew for dinner, among other easy, quick meals. Through lots and lots of experimenting and tears over burnt, or worse, overly salted food, that my dad would still praise (my brother, on the other hand would be as brutally honest as Gordon Ramsay), I have come to discover that I actually enjoy making people happy with my food, hence the blog!
I am and always have been a picky eater who gets more excited about cooking than eating, so I tend to be very specific about what I enjoy (except dessert because I have a very big sweet tooth). I hope that means that you’ll love my recipes.
Take a good look around my little corner and I hope you will find something you like or something that inspires you to get your cooking on! My recipes are adjusted to my palate so feel free to tweak any strong flavours to your liking. That said, I am glad you are here!
